The Virtues Program was created to help our students better understand what it means to be a Catholic Christian and to counter some of the more negative attributes of our modern society. Each year a theme will be chosen which represents one of the ideals of a Catholic community to which we all strive; mercy, charity, faith, hope etc. The theme will be broken down into its component virtues, those qualities and behaviors which together create the larger concept or theme. Each month, a different virtue will be taught, examined and discussed by entire school, at every level. There will be classroom activities, group projects and school events that celebrate the virtue. Teachers will acknowledge and encourage "virtuous behavior". Our hope is that over the years spent at St. Patrick School, ideals such as hope, kindness, forgiveness, patience, fortitude and love will become expected behaviors, ingrained in culture of the school.
